The P&A Group is delighted to announce that we are finalists for two major business awards.

P&A recently received the news that we have been shortlisted for both the ‘Business Leader of the Year’ and ‘Best Company of the Year’ categories in the North Wales Insider Business Leaders Awards.

Commenting on the exciting news, managing director at P&A Steve Morgan said:

“I was delighted to hear that P&A has been chosen as finalists for not just one, but two awards in the North Wales Business Leaders Awards.

“2017 was a significant year for us as a company, with the purchase of our new nine acre warehouse and distribution centre in Saltney creating over 20 news jobs, raising over £21,000 for charity through a number of events, as well as our investment in supply chain and new product development.

“In addition, our new aggregates business is getting underway, operating from our new site in Saltney, the prospects are promising for this to become a key link in our portfolio of offerings.”

The prestigious awards, now in their second year, celebrate the brilliant businesses and high achieving entrepreneurs across North Wales. The winners will be announced at the awards dinner on the evening of Thursday 15 March 2018 at Venue Cymru, Llandudno.

Last year’s winners included companies such as Redrow Group, Zip World, Dylan’s Restaurant, Net World Sports and Surf Snowdonia Adventure Parc.

P&A is amongst the five finalists for the Company of the Year’ award, which recognises the company that has most impressed with its growth, innovation and responsibility to the North Wales economy during 2017.

Steve has also been chosen as a finalist in the ‘Business Leader of the Year’ category, which he says he is “honoured” to be put forward for.

“It is fantastic to have been shortlisted for the Business Leader of the Year award and I am looking forward to the awards evening next week. We are up against some very tough competition, so even to be chosen as finalists is an achievement in itself.

“As a UK wide business, we are committed to delivering a high level of customer satisfaction and top quality products across the six divisions of the company, which includes the Woodworks Garden Centre in Mold and Zest 4 Leisure, a supplier of quality timber garden products.”

P&A has always been keen supporters of business in North Wales, and previously has sponsored ‘Best Business to Work For’ in the 2017 Flintshire Business Awards, after the success of the 2015 awards where Steve won Flintshire Business Man of the Year along with P&A also winning Best Company to Work For. This was recognised by a visit from the Chancellor of the Exchequer the Rt. Hon Philip Hammond last year.

Recently, the company also hosted the first free event of 2018 for Mold Business Forum, which aims to bring business owners and managers together with the opportunity to focus on business topics and network with other local businesses in order to drive success.
