P&A Group is proud to announce that for 2025, it has selected MS Society Cymru and North Clwyd Animal Rescue (NCAR) as its chosen charities to support throughout the year.
The company’s employees will take part in a series of fundraising activities, including marathons, walks, bike rides, obstacle courses, baking events, and the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge. These events will not only raise much-needed funds for both charities but also promote teamwork and physical activity, all while supporting causes that P&A Group has chosen.
MS Society Cymru is dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by multiple sclerosis, providing essential support and raising awareness across Wales. Meanwhile, NCAR, one of the largest animal rescue organisations in North Wales, works tirelessly to rescue, rehome, and care for over 1,500 animals each year, giving them the second chance they deserve.
Andrew Baker, Managing Director of P&A Group, said:
“We are delighted to have chosen MS Cymru and NCAR as our charities of the year for 2025, a milestone as we will also celebrate P&A Group’s 40th anniversary this year. This is a fantastic opportunity for our team to come together to raise funds, take on fun challenges, as well as promoting healthy exercise while supporting truly important causes.
With one of our team members directly affected by MS, this cause is especially personal, and we’re determined to make a meaningful impact.”
Shelley Elgin, Country Director for Wales at MS Society Cymru, expressed her gratitude:
“We are thrilled to be chosen as P&A Group’s Charity of the Year for 2025. This partnership will help us continue providing essential support to people living with MS across Wales. The funds raised will make a real difference to our community and help us work towards our goal of stopping MS.”
Nicky Owen, Media Relations & Fundraising Manager from NCAR, added:
“At NCAR we are so grateful that we are one of P&A Group’s chosen charities for 2025. All these efforts make a huge difference to the animals we re-home. We are looking forward to welcoming employees from P&A Group to come along and share some volunteer time with us in 2025.”
The fundraising initiative officially kicked off on Thursday, 16th January, at P&A Group’s Woodworks Garden Centre in Mold, North Wales, with presentations from Ceri Bevan, Community Fundraiser for Wales from MS Society Cymru, and Nicky Owen with an initial target of £20,000. Employees from all divisions are excited to get started and make a positive impact on the lives of those living with MS and the animals in need of a loving home.
This partnership continues P&A Group’s tradition of supporting important community causes, having already raised over £175,000 for various charities over the past 15 years.
The P&A Group comprises Zest Outdoor Living, a leading national UK supplier of award-winning timber garden products, the award-winning Woodworks Garden Centre and Café in Mold, P&A Pallets & Packaging and St Andrews Business Centre for leased and virtual offices.
