The Woodworks Café based in the heart of our P&A Garden centre was recently reviewed in The Leader’s Taste test.
We were thrilled with the fantastic review we received from The Leader’s local reporter Sam Torr.
In case you missed it here’s a peak at how we did in the taste test…

Some of Sam’s thoughts…
“A quaint little gift shop with lovely handmade gifts”
“Nice cosy dining area with some lovely natural wooden tables and chairs”
“I was greeted by the friendly staff and was impressed by the speed of it all”
“I ordered the soup, which was roasted red pepper and a cranberry panini and I certainly wasn’t disappointed”
“The soup was very filling, but had just the right consistency and flavor to it.”
“The panini was delicious, I have to say this is one everyone should definitely try. The melted brie was superb and the bread was just right.”
“For pudding I had a fruit scone, which came with butter, cream and strawberry jam. It was very good, despite being very full I managed to eat it all”
“The scone itself was warm in the middle, which meant the butter had the chance to melt and it was slightly crispy on the outside- just how I’d describe my perfect scone”
“They have a range of hot and cold meals on the menu, as well as a variety of hot and cold drinks and there really is something for everyone. I paid just £10 for my meal and for what I got, I’d say that’s great value.”
“Overall this was a lovely meal which was filling and good value for money and I will certainly be going back to visit in the near future.”
Managing Director, Steve Morgan said:
“One of the biggest aims when opening the Woodwork’s café was to give people living in our community and visitors the opportunity to enjoy local produce, homemade food and a warm welcome and I’m delighted that we are achieving this.
A big well done to our Café Manager, Fiona Coke and the rest of the team for continuously working hard to make the café such a great success.”
