The P&A Group is looking forward to taking part in an ‘It’s A Knockout’ challenge, to help Ysgol Maesglas raise funds for their chosen charity.

P&A Group, based in Mold, is taking on the ‘It’s A Knockout’ challenge for charity again this year, which will be held at Ysgol Maesglas in Holywell.

Each year P&A participate in a number of fundraising events throughout the year for various charities. P&A has previously won the BITC Business in the Community Award for “Responsible Business” and the company is dedicated to supporting schools, the local community, and their chosen initiatives.

Following last year’s successful ‘It’s A Knockout’ event, P&A is again taking part in the obstacle challenge for charity.

Managing Director, Steve Morgan said:

“Not only is ‘It’s A Knockout’ a great opportunity to raise money for a deserving cause, but it is a fun and physically challenging event, which, as a company that is dedicated to both charity fundraising and fitness, we thoroughly enjoy.

“As a business, this is a win-win event, as we are supporting Ysgol Maesglas and their chosen charity, whilst promoting teamwork and the wellbeing of our staff, which is vitally important.”

P&A Group’s corporate social responsibility approach to business means that they get involved in a number of charity events and community projects throughout the year, including Ysgol Maesglas’ ‘It’s A Knockout’, which is now in its third year.

Head Teacher of Ysgol Maesglas, Gavin Cass said:

“We decided to have a change from the traditional summer term school events. We booked the Knockout challenge and were so pleased with the day that we are now in our third year. It’s such a great event and I know our supporters love every second of it.

“The event helps to raise much needed money for school and charity. This would not be possible without the huge support from all the teams that enter. If anyone is interested in competing next year, just get in touch with our school.”

‘It’s A Knockout’, which takes place on June 24,  will see two teams of P&A employees competing in the obstacle course, with refreshments and a barbecue cooked by Steve Morgan, MD. All staff and family are invited to the event with costs being covered by the company.

‘It’s A Knockout’ proves to be an exhausting yet exhilarating event every year, where having fun is guaranteed.
