P&A are delighted to have raised £5232.41 for Alzheimer’s society. This has been raised by the many charitable events to have taken place throughout 2014. One of the main fundraising events of the year saw Steve Morgan, MD and John Vaughan, Landscaping Manager together with Rob Boyns of Boyns.net Ruthin, taking on the gruelling Iron Man challenge to raise funds for this essential cause. They successfully complete a 2.4mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile run within 14:53:02!

Their Iron Man Challenge inspired the Rhyl Community of schools to complete their own triathlon. This saw many of the Rhyl school children taking part in their own triathlon at Marine Lake in Rhyl. Steve, John and Rob dressed up and visited the event to offer support and encouragement.

P&A chose to support The Alzheimer’s Society as it was a first choice amongst employees some of whom have known someone affected by dementia. P&A, an award winning company are dedicated to supporting the needs of the local community and throughout the year have supported many fundraising events. The events ranged from The Alzheimer’s  memory walk, gardening sessions hosted at the P&A Garden Centre and Café (for those living with dementia), raffles, Santa’s Grotto to joining the Alzheimer’s choir carol singing at the P&A café. Steve Morgan said “We are aware of the challenges ordinary people face on a daily basis and we are committed to supporting various community and charitable initiatives. The Alzheimer’s Society was a clear choice for us in 2014 and we look forward to raising more money for this worthwhile cause throughout 2015.”

The fundraising events of 2014 have inspired Steve and other employees to carry on with their fundraising activities. P&A will continue to support The Alzheimer’s society as their charity of choice for 2015. Steve Morgan and other employees will be taking on the 3 peaks challenge, the Welsh 3,000’s to raise money.

The P&A Group would like to say a massive thank you to suppliers, customers, staff and friends of P&A for all donations and support given throughout 2014!
