The P&A Group Of Companies is delighted to announce its chosen charity for 2014. This year's fundraising efforts will be donated to Alzheimer’s Society. We are dedicated to supporting the needs of our community and are looking forward to setting exciting and fun challenges to raise money for this great cause. Commenting on the announcement, Managing Director of P&A, Steve Morgan said,

“As a company, we are committed to supporting a range of community and charitable initiatives. We also name an annual charity of choice and throughout 2014 we are proud to support Alzheimer’s Society for the incredible work it does to lead the fight against dementia.”

This announcement comes after the company presented Alder Hey Children’s Charity, the charity of choice for 2013, with a cheque for over £18,500 raised by staff, suppliers and supporters of the P&A Group and Boyns.Net. A vast amount of this sum was raised to support Steve Morgan and John Vaughan of P&A Group and Rob Boyns of Boyns.Net, Ruthin, in their attempt to complete the gruelling Iron Man Challenge in Tenby, South Wales. They, along with Tim Doswell of Raglan Suite Dental Practice, Harrogate, trained for over twelve months to ensure they could complete the epic 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and 26.2 mile run! All participants were successfully hailed as Iron Men and each raised a phenomenal sum for the charity. The team will be repeating the challenge in September 2014 amongst other physically demanding events throughout the year.

Alan Drury, Community Fundraiser for Alzheimer's Society, said: “We are extremely grateful and delighted that the P&A Group has chosen to support us as their charity partner for the coming year. The money they kindly raise will help us to continue supporting people living with dementia and their carers, as well funding our vital research. We look forward to working closely with everyone at the P&A Group.”
