The Woodworks Garden Centre is holding a fun-filled quiz night on Thursday 7th September from 6.30pm in aid of charity. Hosted by established quizmaster Phil Heard, all proceeds will be donated to Dementia UK, P&A Group’s chosen charity for 2023.

Commenting ahead of the quiz night, Fiona Coke, Manager of The Woodworks Cafe said:

“We are really looking forward to what we’re sure will be a fun evening! Everyone loves a good quiz night and having Phil Heard as host will make for a really great evening out. “As well as donating all proceeds from the ticket and raffle sales to Dementia UK, there will be an amazing selection of raffle prizes up for grabs with tickets on sale ahead of the night. We’ll also be providing a delicious meal of lasagne and salad (or a vegetarian option) followed by a cheese board to every ticket holder. So, not only will they be donating money to charity but they’ll also have a fun night out with a meal thrown in – what more could you ask for?”

Tickets for the quiz night will cost £15 per person with a maximum of four per team. The price includes homemade lasagne and salad, followed by a cheese board. Dietary requirements should be mentioned upon booking. Bring your own alcohol, or soft drinks can be purchased on the night. Tickets can be purchased directly from the garden centre in Mold or by calling 01352 752555 and selecting option three. Dementia UK has specialist dementia nurses – known as

Admiral Nurses - who provide support and develop life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease. Admiral Nurses help families manage complex needs – considering the person living with dementia and the people around them – and they can advise other healthcare professionals. They also help people living with dementia to stay independent for longer, and support the people caring for them so they have the strength to cope with the bad days, and the energy to enjoy the good days.

Over the last 12 years, employees of the P&A Group have raised almost £145,000 for a variety of charities including Macmillan Cancer Support, Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith Children’s Hospices, Cancer Research UK, Action for Children, Alzheimer’s Society, Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and Meningitis Now.
