A part time job in P&A Garden Centre in 2000 grew over 5 years to a full time role as I.T. manager for the P&A Group of Companies. Having studied multimedia and Internet computing at Glyndwr university Alyn went on to set up the P&A websites and online shops.
He now provides a range of I.T. support including server management, telecommunications systems support, and process mapping for both the P&A office and St Andrews Business Park.
Andrew joined P&A in February 2008, with 9 1/2 years previous experience working for companies such as the Keating group and Deeside Furniture. Since filling the position of accountant at P&A, he has implemented and improved on the financial controls and reporting techniques in use. The resulting improvements in performance and profitability are self-evident.
Andrew’s sporting interests include supporting Liverpool F.C., playing golf and cricket. Having been a club champion at his local golf club in Rhos on Sea, where he also represented the county, he gained solid work experience as a junior organiser. Always a proactive team player, he took on the extra responsibilty of treasurer, during his time playing cricket for Conwy in the North Wales League.
His current dedication to running has led him to raise £240 for cancer research and a respectable time of 42.42m over the 10k Great Manchester Run.
As the longest serving member of staff on the P&A team, Sarah has seen the company grow from it’s roots. She started as an office junior in the early days providing administrative support, processing invoices and making cash sales.
Sarah’s notable organisational abilities have underpinned the expansion of her role alongside the growing Pallets and Packaging and Landscaping departments.
Mark started his career with P&A in 1996 as a sawyer. He quickly progressed to a supervisory role for a team of sawyers, which he held for 6 years. Time spent in a recycling branch of the company, followed by a period in sales have given Mark a broad spectrum of relevant experience of the timber trade.
In his current role as a buyer for the group, Mark has his eye on the bottom line and uses his experience to keep the company moving forwards.
